E.L.F Cosmetics Mineral Infused Face Primer in Clear

No comments :
TLDR: I think this broke me out, Did fill pores well, Was ok managing oil

On a whim, I bought this because I have been dying to try a new primer. Primer is one of those things that everyone seems to have a mixed opinion on what they want out of it. When I look for a primer, I look for something that either blurs pores or manages oil. That beings said, this primer promises exactly what I want:

"Transform your face into a flawless and smooth canvas with the e.l.f. Cosmetics Mineral Infused Face Primer. Developed to combat against excess oil, flaky dryness, enlarged pores and fine lines, this clear multipurpose skin primer will prepare your skin so makeup goes on evenly for a long-lasting satin finish. Features a new and improved air pump! For best results, you may need to pump the component several times before product dispenses. Cruelty free and vegan."-Ulta.com

I love the packaging of this product, but I am a sucker for a product with a pump. It made it easy to get the quantity you wanted out of the bottle. A full pump is usually not necessary for a full face of primer. This primer made my skin insanely smooth to the point that I am afraid that my makeup would not stay on my face if I used this. Regardless of that, when I did apply my foundation, it went on smoothly, and my foundation did not settle into my pores as much as it usually does. I really did not see much of a difference in how oily my skin was in comparison to other primers I have used in the past. I also did not notice any difference in how long my makeup lasted throughout the day. I have been using it for a couple of weeks as I try some new foundations, but I think I have determined that it is actually this primer that is breaking my skin out. In the future, I might just put this over the areas of my face where my foundation usually settles into my pores. Overall, it is ok, but I am still on the hunt for the perfect primer for me.
